Taylor Swift tears up as she thanks Toronto after six-show stint: ‘You have no idea how much it means’

Taylor Swift wiped away tears from her eyes Saturday night as she thanked Toronto for hosting six of her Eras Tour performances.
“You have no idea how much it means to me and to my band,” Swift said in multiple videos being shared on social media from her final show at Rogers Centre.
“My band, my crew, all my fellow performers — we have put so much of our lives into this,” the singer said. “You’ve put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and giving us that moment that we’ll never forget.”
Swift said her time in the city has been “amazing.”
“We’ve loved our time in Toronto,” she told tens of thousands of screaming fans. “I love you guys, thank you so much for that.”
In a post on X, Mayor Olivia Chow said she stopped by the venue to thank the volunteers and city staff who “helped ensure the last ten days in ‘Tay-ronto’ were a fun and safe experience.”
“Hosting these concerts is a big economic boost for the city — but also a lot of work,” Chow said.
Since the first of the six sold-out shows opened on Nov. 14, the city anticipated an economic infusion of more than $282 million and up to 500,000 visitors. Some of the celebrities at Swift’s shows included a number of actors and athletes, as well as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who showed off his dance moves at Friday’s show.
The Vancouver — and final — leg of Swift’s tour is set to begin Dec. 6.
